Rent collection in a mobile-home-park context is the end-to-end process of producing rent invoices, accepting payments, applying them to tenant ledgers, reconciling with the bank, and pursuing delinquencies. Modern PMS platforms automate most of this — invoices generate automatically based on the lease, payments arrive via ACH or card, ledger application happens in real time, and bank reconciliation runs daily against a feed. Operators who still run rent collection on spreadsheets typically lose 15 to 30 minutes per tenant per month to manual reconciliation, which becomes a meaningful operational cost above 100 lots.
