Delinquency
Rent that has not been paid by its due date but may still be collectible.
Delinquency is rent that is past due but not yet written off as uncollectible. Operators track delinquency in aging buckets — usually 0 to 30 days, 31 to 60, 61 to 90, and 90+ — to understand both the depth of the collections problem and the trend over time. Each bucket has a different probability of eventual collection: 0 to 30 day delinquencies usually cure with a friendly reminder; 90+ day delinquencies often end in eviction or write-off. Watching the slope of the 31 to 60 day bucket is a leading indicator for what 0 to 30 will look like next month, making it the most operationally useful aging chart for park managers.
