File a Dispute

Use this form if you believe information on a screening report Lotly delivered to a landlord or property manager is inaccurate or incomplete, and you do not have (or cannot find) the case code from an Adverse Action Notice.
Lotly acts as a service provider that delivers screening reports to landlords. Lotly does not investigate or resolve disputes — the consumer reporting agency that supplied the information is responsible for the reinvestigation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We will forward your dispute to the appropriate consumer reporting agency on your behalf.
Have the case code from your Adverse Action Notice? Use the case-code form instead — it already knows which report and which consumer reporting agencies are involved, so your dispute reaches them faster.

How this works

There is no fee, no required format, and no required documents to submit a dispute. (CFPB Circular 2022-07.)

Who is filing this dispute?

Use the name exactly as it appeared on your rental application.
We send your confirmation here, and this is how we reach you if we need one more identifying detail.
Helpful if the consumer reporting agency needs to reach you about the reinvestigation.
Helps us match your filing to the correct report. Any format is fine.
Street, city, state, ZIP. Used to match your filing and to mail you anything that can't be sent by email.
The community, address, or property-manager name. This is usually the fastest way for us to locate the report.

Which consumer reporting agencies do you want this dispute forwarded to?

Pick all that apply. If you're not sure which agency the disputed information came from, leave them all unchecked and we will forward your dispute to the agency or agencies that supplied information for your report.

What is inaccurate or incomplete?

No required format — write in plain language. There's no length limit. Specific details (what is wrong, dates, account or case numbers) help the consumer reporting agency complete its reinvestigation. We forward every dispute we receive; only the consumer reporting agency can decide a dispute is frivolous or irrelevant (15 U.S.C. § 1681i(a)(3)), and it must tell you why.

Identity theft

Checking this box routes the dispute on the expedited 4-business-day identity-theft path. If you have an Identity Theft Report from IdentityTheft.gov, attach it below.

Optional: documents that support your dispute

All file uploads are optional. We forward whatever you provide along with the dispute. No documents are required. Because this filing has no case code, a government ID is the single most useful thing you can attach — it lets us confirm your identity without emailing you back.

Driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Photos or PDFs accepted.
Court orders, expungement orders, judgments, or other court paperwork relevant to the disputed item.
Anything else — PDFs, images, FTC Identity Theft Reports, correspondence, receipts, leases.

Send by email instead

By submitting, you authorize Lotly to forward your dispute and any documents you've uploaded to the consumer reporting agency you selected. Lotly does not investigate or resolve disputes; the consumer reporting agency that supplied the information is responsible for the reinvestigation.

How we use this information. Lotly uses what you provide to locate the report it delivered and to forward your dispute. We send your dispute, your contact details, and any documents you provide to the consumer reporting agency that supplied the information so it can reinvestigate. If you dispute by phone, the call is recorded and transcribed, and the recording and transcript are forwarded as part of your dispute. Service providers that host, transmit, and transcribe this information for us may process it only on our behalf. We do not sell dispute information. See our Privacy Policy.

Other ways to file

We accept disputes and report-copy requests by web, email, mail, and phone. Use whichever is easiest — no channel is faster to a decision than another.
